Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is the process when the water in the leaves
goes through the roots and then combines with carbon
dioxide from the air to make sugar for the plant to grow.

Photosynthesis begins with the sun because without the
sun plants and food would not be able to grow. Water is
also essential to plants because it is made up of hydrogen
and oxygen. When the water falls off the leaves it goes into
the ground then the roots absorb the water and then
hydrogen makes energy for the plants (sugar) that
is photosynthesis.

Plants can grow all over the world, there are more than
300,000 types of plants in the world. Plants have features
that help them live in all different places in the world but
all plants rely on the sun, rain and food (Photosynthesis) to
keep them alive. Roots are super important to plants if
they didn’t have roots they would just blow away the
roots grow from nutrients from the soil not only do they
keep the plants from blowing away they also hold the ground in place and to keep the earth healthy.  Roots are so strong that if they grow sideways they can become a bridge that could hold up to 50 people but it takes 10-15 years for this to happen.

Photosynthesis helps plants but it also helps people. Plants use the hydrogen in the water and release oxygen and if they didn’t we wouldn’t be able to breathe and we would die. Plants also take out carbon dioxide of the air which also helps make the air cleaner.
Where would we be without Photosynthesis?
